Byron Terrel Williams

I was placed in your school because Michigan has adopted a goal to increase the percentage of Michigan residents that have a post-secondary certificate or degree by year 2025. This is important because by 2020 almost 70% of Michigan jobs will require a post-secondary certificate or degree. In 2015, 35% of Michigan residents had a college degree.

I have created The PAC Squad, or the Post-Secondary Action Council, to provide the students the opportunity to spread the message of college in their own way. The PAC Squad hosts college-themed events, assemblies, programs and fundraisers. They are empowered to execute their own ideas and to help other students come to understand that college is a necessity, a public good, affordable, and for everyone!
